Paint Shop Photo Pro X3

Post by redbarina »

Just downloaded and installed this but when trying to add text to photo can't find the "Create As' pull down or the "Apply" button. Had to go back to PSP 9 to do my job. Can anyone suggest where these have gone?

Well, I honestly don't recall if they changed the positions or anything but it's best to be sure and go over where they should be.

"Create As" should be right next to "Stroke Width" and the apply button (green checkmark) should be one of the first buttons on the tool options toolbar.

Otherwise you might want to look to see if you can't find this black arrow, it should be white but for whatever reason Corel never did change it to match the rest of the UI. If you can't see it then it might be best to return to the original workspace colors by deselecting the "Use Graphite Workspace Theme" option in the View menu. (View->Use Graphite Workspace Theme)

That black arrow reveals options that aren't in view because the toolbar is too long for the actual space available. You might find your options by clicking through that.

If neither of those work you can try clicking in the areas where they are supposed to be, it's possible the UI just isn't updating properly.

The last suggestion I can make is try resetting your workspace. You can do this by holding Shift while opening PSPX3 from the desktop, it should ask you if you want to reset the UI. Or from the file menu and selecting Preferences Reset Preferences (File->Preferences->Reset Preferences) and selecting the workspace from the options.
