Hey,
I am looking for an image organizer that will recognize when images are moved to different folders after they are tagged with keywords.
MY dilema: I downloaded a free organizer and created a "To Tag" file on my desktop into which I dumped unprocessed images. After using the organizer to tag the files with keywords, I moved the files to my external hard-drive. When I opened the organizer again, with the hard-drive plugged-in, and after restarting the computer, the organizer still showed the images as being located in the original "To Tag" folder. Where, of course, they were not.
Obivously this makes tagging useless since, if I want to search by keyword, I will simply then have a picture I cannot download nor find.
Just wondering which organizers out there recognize such "after the fact" file moving as I don't want to spend my money (and time) on something that doesn't really help.
Any advice helpful!
Thanks!

What free organizer? Was it by chance Fast Stone Image Viewer? After spending some time searching it's suppose to be one of the better ones. There's several around, and people will use them differently. I've used this one in the past, but never entertained the function you're talking about.MY dilema: I downloaded a free organizer

It was Shutterfly. I can try FastStone. It's werid...even the ads for major image organizers like Acdsee etc, they don't mention if this is a feature. Why would I want to tag thousands of photos if I can only see them afterwards and not know where to find them?
