What version of MF are you using?
What make/model dvd recorder was the ram recorded on?
What is the make/model of the dvd reader in your computer?
You should be able to play the videos on the dvd using
"Power Dvd" or "WinDvd" or the ulead dvd player if your dvd
reader on the computer can read dvd-ram disks.

Responding to both posts:
I have imported many 4+gig movies from a panasonic desktop recorder.
I've found I must use the Playlist feature to do this because of the
large file sizes.
Also I've found the same applies to other -VR model recorders such as
Sony etc.
I usually never have a problem with MF3 importing.
Also Nero 6 (with updates) can now import from a -VR disk.
Nero is slower but more reliable.
The last ram I tried to import using MF4 (full version) I got a copyright error.
Shouldn't have done that.
MF3 imported it no problem.
I did have one bad ram disk. After experience with this I've found it better
to re-format the ramdisk rather than erasing the files. Seems to keep the
ramdisk clean. I always try to use cartridges because of handling (fingerprints etc).
When importing from a camcorder the files are small so maybe a person
doesn't need to make a playlist.
Even though there may be 2+ movies on a ramdisk they are in one
large file (container) on the dvd. Depends how large the container is.
It also depends on your reader in the computer.
MovieFactory 4 says in the readme files that you are supposed to have
the resident drivers loaded in order to import disks. I had to disable them
so maybe that's why MF4 was giving me a hard time.
Will have to get back to that and find out why.
Check out the "Panasonic" "DMR-E95HS". That unit has a 160gig harddisk.
Reads anything you throw at it (multi-format) and completely eliminates
the need for a computer.
You can copy any non-copyright material to the harddisk. Edit it on the
harddisk and write back to dvd-r with no loss (fast-write) or the
bit-rate of your choice (re-sampling). Simultaneous recording to the
harddisk and burning a separate movie to a dvd from the harddisk or
transferring to the harddisk from dvd.
Reads ALL dvd formats to copy to harddisk, +R/+VRmode/-R/-VRmode
/-R/-RW/+RW/Ram disks.
No bit-rate calculations needed (FR recording), no computer, no rebooting,
no errors.
