Hi guys...new hear. I'm a girls fastpitch softball coach and I use studio video Pro X3 to produce college skills video for college coaches interest in recruiting my players. One of the things coaches are interested in is running times from home to first base/home to home. I've found the most effective way to display results in real time is to have the time lapse overlayed on the video clip. I've seen this feature with Adobe editing software, but not with Corel. Does this feature exist? Is there a filter or patch to access it?
I'd appreciate any assistance possible.
Thanks
MikeJames

hello MikeJames1963,
You may need to use a time filters or plugin for this task. You may want to reset to this old post http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?t=10893, also you can try checking if Newblue have similar plugins, you can go to http://newbluefx.com/ for more info.

Re: Elapsed time (stop watch feature) in Corel video studio
A few years ago I wanted a similar option - in the end I solved it by filming a stop watch against a blue background - then inserted that into the overlay track and used chroma keying to show just the watch face - resized down and siting in a corner - I just let it run through out the event and inserted it again to time a new event. I suppose if you wanted multiple clocks running you could use more overlays - I never actually tried that.
Mine was an old analogue stop watch but if I was to do it again I would probably use a digital readout - for some reason my bedroom alarm clock has a digital stop watch function - I could use that - never found any other use for it in the bedroom.
