moviefactory 4 disc creator newbie question

I get an "invalid parameter" when importing dvd ram sometimes 99% into transfer, anyone have clues as to what this is ?? cheers

Yes,

Put the dvd-ram back into the recording machine.
Read the manual on the dvd recorder on how to create a "Playlist"

When creating the playlist select the video you want to transfer into the
computer.
After you make the playlist (it doesn't matter what you name the playlist).
Then when you goto import the video into MF select "Playlist1" or the
playlist (forget). MF will not see the name you gave the playlist. MF will
only call it playlist 1 or similiar.

Do not select the top choice of ALL.
You should be able to import the playlist then.
This usually happens when the file size is larger than 2 gigs.

will have a look, many many thanks for the info. the disc did have 2 items on it maybe 1 hour each, does that mean it read them all and not just the one item i wanted to transfer ?. the ram recorder does split them into seperate programmes though, i cannot stop mf 4 reading the whole disc though or can I ??

or am i talking drivel here !!!!
