MF7 crashing on burn AFTER successful burn

Post by ktbCA57 »

I created a slideshow DVD (photos set to music). Have made SEVERAL over the years, but this is the first since upgrading from v5 to v7. I was able to burn one DVD (originally created and edited in MF7) - then made some VERY minor changes, but now can no longer get the DVD to burn.

I get an error message showing that there is a problem but there is no HINT of what the problem is. Once the error occurs the app crashes. It gets all the way to 98% of the "Converting video to title..." in the detailed progress bar... then the error comes up.

I am using Windows 7 Home. The video has a running time of 16mins and 12 seconds. I've made much longer DVDs than this.. and cannot figure out why this won't burn.

It has taken me DAYS to get everything timed right, and i can't stand the thought of having to start over. I've tried rebooting, and resaving the file under a different name in a different location, removing the music, etc. I've tried everything i can think of to eliminate the problem... yet it persists

HELP!

Did the minor changes involve adding any photos, or adding anything else? Most of my crashes* have have somehow been related to the files I feed-into Movie Factor. (Removing the audio was a good experiment... )

* I don't actually use Movie Factory anymore, and I don't have MF7.
