Learning Center blank in PSPPX2
My learning center is completely blank. I've toggled just the Learning Center palette on and off, turned all palettes on and off, toggled the graphite workspace theme, reinstalled the program, but it's still just an empty box. The title bar is there, says "Learning Center" and has the push-pin icon to dock/undock. I've undocked and stretched the box the width of the monitor. I've run out of things to try. I used to run PSPP on my laptop (where it worked fine, including Learning Center), recently built a new desktop pc and installed on it, both are running Win7 64-bit. As far as I can tell, all the other palettes and toolbars are working fine.

Hello johnnyk900,
Please keep in mind that PSP X2 is not compatible with Windows 7, that can may very well be the root of your problem. You can visit http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 4516325170, to know which version of the Corel Software is compatible with Windows 7.
There is a workaround for you to make old program works on Windows 7, however we cannot assure you this is a 100% fool proof. You can use the Windows 7 Program Compatibility and the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC, which are both from Microsoft.
You can follow the steps for Windows 7 Program Compatibility from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... of-Windows
You can download and install the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtua ... nload.aspx.
You also want to consider upgrading your Corel software, since Paintshop Pro X3 is full compatible with Windows 7, you can download the 30 day full working trial at http://www.corel.com/trials.

Re: Learning Center blank in PSPPX2
"My learning center is completely blank"
Try restarting PSPX2 with the Shift key down, this will reset all the settings to default.:
Save your workspace if you have customized it.
Then close PSP.
Open PSP again holding the Shift key down until you get a message box telling you that all the settings will return to their default state.
Did the Learning Center work at all after you installed PSP on your new computer?
I and many others, have no problems running PSPX2 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.
Even PSP7 will run on a W7 machine I was told the other day.

Re: Learning Center blank in PSPPX2
The contents of the Learning Center are contained in "LearningCenter.xml". If this file is damaged or missing, you will see a blank Learning Center.
The usual location of this file in a US English installation of PSPP X2 is -
"C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2\Languages\EN\LearningCenter.xml".
Is that file there? The size of my version of it is 72.9 KB.
