How to simulate pressure in X2/X3

Post by Radim »

Hello,
I am looking on simple tutorial at - http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-ti ... -tutorial/
and I see there is a step where Pressure Simulation is needed, any idea how to do it in PSPP? Of course I can draw it in freeware Inkscape and import to PSP but purely in PSP, it is possible?

Thanks.

Can I assume you're using something like the "vector paint" script from pixelnook to take the place of the "stroke" command being used in that tutorial? Because Paint Shop Pro doesn't have a stroke command.

Simulate Pressure essentially tells Photoshop to fade in and fade out to the current brush size along the path of the vector. The closest thing that I can think of that would do that is setting the brush variance for your current brush.

Open up the brush variance palette and under size change the setting from "*pressure" (all options with a * are based on tablets) to Direction.

My small test seems to suggest it is, the stroke wasn't overly smooth but give it a test. I think just setting the brush variance size to Direction is all you need to do.
