confused about serial # sequence

Post by nsmom »

Hi Everyone :)

I have been using PI for years and love it. I finally purchased PI X3 in November 2010 when I was using my Win XP computer. Well, unfortunately, my PC died 2 weeks ago and I just got a new laptop which I'm loving, btw.

When I tried to install PI X3 on it using the serial # I received in Nov. 2010, it does not have the proper serial number "sequence" and will not accept it no matter how I put the number in. My serial # from Nov. is 3 sets of 6 #'s & letters but when I went to corel's site, it states that the serial # should be 2 sets of "9" numbers. I am very confused and because it's Saturday, I cannot contact their support # until Monday.

Has anyone experienced this problem or am I alone??? I would love to put PI on my new laptop this weekend.

Thanks for any help received, have a great weekend.

The Serial number I have, is 2 sets of 5, and 1 set of 8 alpha-numerical. Are you sure you're talking about a serial number and not an activation code for a TBYB?
