DVD burn problems - DVD Factory Pro 2010

I prepare everything in FP 2010 (selected files, fonts, music, etc.) and run all aspects of 'preview'. Everything works and looks great in the preview mode. Then I go to 'burn'. The burn procss carries on and eventually says the burn was succesful. So, I pop it out and place in a Blu-ray player (I tried it in two different BD players) and two things happen: a. I can only get to one of the videos, regardless which video I click on; or b. when I click on the run button (horizontal triangle) it turns the BD player OFF.

The foregoing was for the preparation of an AVCHD disc. I explored a failed disc and compared it to a previously burned successful disc. Both appeared to have all the files: the only files I could examine were the video files, which were all present. I made an additional attempt to burn an AVCHD disc. This one in the BD player (and in the PC) appeared okay as before, but when I clicked to activate a movie, it just went back to the top menu.

Today I burned an NTSC DVD 16-9 disc. It burned successfully and worked in the PC and in the BD player. Apparently, problem is with AVCHD.

After reading many posts, sounds like I need MovieFactory 7. So, I sent e-mails to Corel a few days ago, with no answer yet. I explained that I deleted MF 7SE, naively thinking that 'Pro 2010' would be better. I have asked Corel to provide MF7SE. Hopefully, tfletchr

Problem existed with DVD MF 7 SE as well. After much experimenting, I narrowed the problem down. The failed movie files included a .WMV video file in the second timeline. I was using the second timeline only as a reference to line up JPG images in the top timeline. When lined, up I 'split audio' and deleted the video from the second timeline. 19 out of 20 such files failed to burn properly; don't know why one worked. The End (I hope).

Problem being with the AVCHD file is possible. This codec is still very much in it's infancy. Video editing programs will experience various problems with it. It was developed by Sony and Panasonic, each probably putting their own little tweaks to it. Sometimes certain cameras/camcorders that record AVCHD, will have another slightly different algorithm.

Finally I will say that DVD Factory Pro 2010, is probably the very last program I would want to use....;)

My problem still exists!

AVCHD .mpg movies produced in VideoStudio Pro X3 and containing JPEG photos (of any size, 300 KB to 4 MB) do not burn PROPERLY using DVD MovieFactory 7SE. Even though my PC and the DVD player think the disc is good, when clicking on the file, nothing happens.

I have 40 slide shows of my two children that I want to put on an AVCHD DVD disc, but can't do it.

All this happened after I moved "up" from VS Pro X2 to X3. Prior to Pro X3, I had no problem burning several AVCHD slide shows on a DVD disc.
