I live in Australia (PAL)
Is the Pro 3 Program available in USA, the same as the one available in Australia?
Or are they locked in to PAL or NTSC as the videocameras are?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Pal or NTSC in Pro 3
Welcome to the forums,
You should be presented with the options of Country and PAL or NTSC region when you install the program. In your case, choose Australia and then beneath that select the PAL option. You should also see an Options tab, click on it, and choose the ones that you want installed. I think they are all selected by default. So it would be a matter of de-selecting the ones you do not want installed.

I might be reading between the lines and coming up with the wrong answer tailspin - but are you thinking of purchasing and downloading from the USA site because the prices look better - I think you'll find it will not happen - I am in the UK and on the occaisons I have tried to buy from the US site it refuses to proceed with the purchase. But as Ron says the optionfor Pal (which I also use) is available during the initial installation.

Thanks. I will buy the one from USA as it is about half the price of the Aussie version.

But as Brian just explained, the US website will usually refuse to proceed with sales to people outside the US. But you can only try and see... I have succeeded in the past, for example, when I used PayPal to pay for a product, but was refused when trying to use an Australian credit card.
For other users, the issue is a sensitive one in Australia since the Australian dollar is now a bit stronger than the American dollar. So it is galling to be required to pay a much higher price, based on an ancient exchange rate, than purchasers in the US...

Hello Talespin,
Just to add to what Ken, Brian and Ron said. Even if you manage to purchase the program from the Corel US web site the problem will be with the support. Since you purchased the program from the US site, you may have to contact the US Customer and Technical Support and not the Australian Support.

Hi
I purchased X2 from the US site as a download.
No problems.
I live in the UK, customer support talked to me in the UK
Abiel, why should customer support be different when it’s a download, it doesn’t really matter where you download it from, or are you saying the program is different depending on the purchase country?
