Hi,
I am having a problem installing the program as I have downloaded twice and it is doing the same thing as I started by running vsx4_pro_PF.exe and
it starts running Installation shield wizard first then stopped and does not continue and does nothing ( I am running Windows XP Pro).
When I try to run it again I keep getting this message:
Another instant of setup is already running. Please wait for the other instance to finish and try again.
Could you please help.

Re: VS X4 Installation Problem
Welcome to the forums Mick,
Are you trying to install a TBYB (trial version) or a full purchased version? There should not be any difference in the program itself. However I noted that you have downloaded it more than once, and the file name does not appear to be that of a TBYB. What size is your file?
When you get the message prompt that there's already an instance of the program/installer running, open task manager and look for it under applications or processes. You will probably find it under the processes. If you do, you can stop it. Then try to install it again.

Re: VS X4 Installation Problem
Hi Ron,
Thank you for quick reply. I am trying to install full version which hae 4 files. The problem was when I started to run the excute file which VSX4_pro_PF.EXE (767MB).
When I open task manager I can see it but it is not doing any thing and it is going in a loop.

If you do not feel competent enough to stop an application/process using task manager the you need to shut down your computer completely - wait a few seconds then start your computer again - this will stop the previous install sequence and you can try installing again.

Re: VS X4 Installation Problem
After Installation of the new Corel video Studio Pro X4 into my 2 Computers I have noticed that my NewBlue FX Plugin (Light Ray FX) has been installed OK but on the other compute was not instaled correctly and it had only the icon for it but I can not open it and I get an error message "Corrupted video files can not be dropped" and I do not way?
would you be able to help for instruction how would be able to reinstall it and from where I can get the link to download it or was it one of free Plugin included with VideoStudio Pro X4 downloan version or can I copy it from one computer to another and where can I find it to copy it.

Re: VS X4 Installation Problem
There's a folder, 14.0 that is found in (WinXP) C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Applicaton Data\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (Win Vista) C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro. You can delete the 14.0 folder, and VS will rebuild that folder when you launch VS X4. It should have the correct filters, along with the thumbnails in the Libraries. I've had to do this multiple times, while troubleshooting a problem with the New Blue Video Essentials IV filter. I've found that if you don't, and you reinstall the filters, it duplicates the icons, or they will not work correctly.

Re: VS X4 Installation Problem
I'm trying to install a box version of VS Pro X4 Ultimate on W7 Pro but the installation process never starts/initializes. Get a blank screen and the only active button is 'cancel'. The 'next' button never activates. No success running autorun or executing the setup program on the cd. Firewall, AVS are disabled. Have tried several times. Even ran the VS_clean tool. It says X4 is not installed. Any advise on how to proceed?
Re: VS X4 Installation Problem
Hello? Can anyone lend any tips or advice? Other suggestions to try perhaps would be appreciated. Thanks.
