Re: X4...Can't burn a DVD
During my successful burn, I did not actually burn a DVD, but burned to a DVD
Folder option. The resulting files behaved like a main menu, with a sub-chapter menu, when launched with WinDVD 9 from the folder source. However the only motion I see is an annoyingly quivering/flashing main menu Title. This behavoir was also noticed during the preview phase, prior to burning.

Re: X4...Can't burn a DVD
Update: I heard from Corel Technical Support today. They are still investigating the menu burning issues, and hope to report back to me soon with a solution, work-around, or additional information regardiing our issues.

Refer to this VideoStudio forum article ["an unspecified error has occurred" X4 Authoring] for a discussion of a workaround to this problem.

Re: X4...Can't burn a DVD
I’ve experienced the same error with X4. I have two DVD writers. The internal Plextor PX-B940SA and the external Samsung SE-S204N. The Plextor fails as described here, but using the same files, I change to the old Samsung writer and it burns nicely. All drives are up to date with latest firmware.
Could it be a drive issue?
