Complete absence of any edit options in menu

OK, seems like a complete newbie error I'm sure, and kind of embarrased to ask, but just installed PaintShop Photo ProX3. Using the menu to FILE - OPEN and select file from "look in" and file opens. All fine so far, but all the lovely edit functions in the menus are "greyed" out and not selectable. "Full Editor" is selected, but nothing.

There's no worries about your question. A few details are of interest:

1) Does this happen for all kinds of pictures that you open
2) Can you list which options are showing up as grayed out? I am understanding that you open the picture, and the first thing that we do is to go to the menus/toolbars, and then we find things are grayed out.
3) What kind of pictures are you opening? (File type, and what device/program made them)

There might be more information needed like the colour depth, but I'm curious about the above first.

Hi,

Tried a few JPG initially and more recently TIF and PSP. All same result.
Only menu options available are FILE, VIEW AND HELP, with many sub menus greyed out.
Bit of a mixture on the source of these files but for the most they are from my digital camera (JPEG).

All these files were fine on PaintShop Pro 9.

Guess it must have been a messy installation. I had previously tried to uninstall and re-install but all efforts were fruitless. Followed the instructions on the manual removal post using the cleanup (which should have done before) then re-installed and, voilà. Happy days.
