Well, I don't recall a blue screen problem.
Just follow the X4 threads on this forum..are people having positive experiences?
Yup.

This is a help forum, where people come if they are having problems, so it's only natural that the majority of the topics will reflect that. And when a new version is release there is always a flood of new posts. It's just the nature of the beast.

But yes, I do know that X4 is working fine for most people, just like X3, X2, v11, and every other version, despite what you may interpret from this forum.

I just want to share my experience with X4.
The GUI is impressive and the Library is logical. But since they aimed at making the Library easier, I just wished that they allowed more than 20 drop-down folders in transitions and Effects.
It's amazing that some third-party plugins that used to cater to older VS versions still work with VSX4. But I noticed that when I install them all at once, VSX4 crashes. What I did was to install each plugin by 2's and then opening VSX4 each time after installation. It's as if VSX4 has to be fed with these plugins and must get used to them first so it may run smoothly. My laptop experienced much much hangs and crashes just by adding vfx, vft and aft and at worst I would have to reinstall VSX4 and start from scratch just to "get it right", and I wonder why is there not a "Repair" option during un-installation especially when un-installing and re-installing VSX4 takes up a lot of time (15 mins. I think?)

But as with other commentators here, I had an unfair experience with VSX3, which is why I consider X4 a blessing.

In the past, I have used Ulead 8-11 and Corel VSX2 & X3.
With Ulead, I have not experienced any annoyance as far as using the software, unlike in Corel's versions that made me want to blur my mouth because I was cursing. lol. Corel may have introduced edgier features but Ulead delivered comfort with its functionality. I appreciate the edgy features, but how can we truly enjoy the edginess of it if every time I attempt to do something with it would just crash? What did Corel do to Ulead that it has become so buggy? (Pardon the word).

I haven't got the chance to try Media Studio but I heard that it was a contender to Adobe's Premiere and the then Sonic Forge's Vegas. Oh, I'm jealous. :p
