Re: Can't import MOV files
I just ran into the problem of not being able to load a MOV file yesterday and decided to use the suggestion given by "eajhnsn1" (ie. add C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem to PATH). I found that it was already in the PATH but as the last entry. I moved it up, just past the Windows O/S entries, then everything worked fine after that.

WOW!!! THAT WORKS!!!!!!!!!
VX5 .MOV files from Canon DSLR's and latest version of quicktime for my iphone 5!!!!
But again... why can't Corel fix this? So frustrating! I am a same day video editor at weddings and COREL left me glitched out on wedding day... Cost me thousands of dollars

Re: Can't import MOV files
Hi, thought I'd bump this up. I tried the dll program x86 work around and now my X5 can read and playback MOV files from a Canon EOS7D, lightning fast.
HOWEVER..when I render the video, there are several audio dropouts. I have tried everything.
Taking the original vsp and transferring all vid clips and audio clips to my old laptop and doing a render there with X5, I've uninstalled my asio4all for my music software, and many other efforts.
I notice that with standard def vid clips I have no audio issues after rendering, but for some reason, all my MOV HD projects get blips as if the audio is peaking or clipping or reacting to some of my edits but then again, some of the dropouts are unrelated to any effect or 'cut'..so what gives?
Is it the work around I tried?
Should I uninstall my QT, latest vers. and install the 7.6?
UGH..this software has SUCH potential but after several Corel tech correspondences, I am totally clueless on what to do to fix this.
Adobe Premiere?

That worked for me! Thank you for the fix!!!

Go to your C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem directory, copy the QTCF.dll file and paste it into c:\windows.
I'm now able to see QuickTime files and use them in VideoStudio again.
