Video Filters are Gone!! (2011)

Post by MoeShe »

First of all I want to say that it is an honor to be amongst you people. Over the last 5 years your posts have really helped me.This "Filter" problem is the latest and most annoying of them all lol.

I'm using Corel Video Studio Pro X2. While working on my 36th project, I noticed that the Video Filters have dissappeared. If anyone has any idea of how I could have managed to lose all the video filters please help me! I clicked on video filters and there was nothing except for "ALL". When I clicked on that nothing happened.

I've tried to do what the old, non-Vista, Posts recommended but they didnt work. I tried the repair feature and that didnt work either. If anyone knows an "updated" solution to this very annoying problem please help me. I dont really want to reinstall the program unless Ireally have to.

Thanks,

I had this exact same issue with X2 when I was running Vista 64bit.
I tried all sorts of things including moving the VFT folder out of the Corel folder and then copying it back in.
In the end I bit the bullet and re-installed and they all magically re-appeared.
I have since upgraded to WIN7 and have very few, if any, issues with VS.
I know this is not what you want to hear but I wasted hours trying to fix this and only about 1 hour un-installing and re-installing.

Cheers

Have you tried resetting the Libraries? Go to the Tools menu, Library Manager>Reset Library. If you only have one user account on your computer, create another one. It will need to have administrative permissions. Uninstall VS X2, then switch to the other user account and re-install VS X2.

Tried resetting the libraries. That didn't work either. Looks like I have to bite the bullet and reinstall everything. Thanks guys for your help.

Just reinstalled the program. Worked out great and only took less than an hour. For anyone out there that has this problem, I highly recommend to just do a reinstall like AussieTX said. Now you will lose all your "ADDED" audio, video, titles, and image clips you had but, u can still pull up any of your previous "Video Studio" projects and pull off all your favorite sound, video, titles, etc and place them back into your gallery. Another thing you can do is BEFORE you un-install,drag all of your favorite sound, video, image, and title clips to the time line and save it as "My Favorite Clips". When you reinstall the program just pull up that "My Favorite Clips" file and everything that u want is right there!

I hope what i said helps others that may have this problem.

Good Luck!!
