Hey,
I have a LIVE show recorded and I want to add Video Filters in various places within a single 4 minute video. Do I need to cut up my video to segments to add filters too or can I apply them to different spots in a single video?
Thank You

Welcome to the forum
If you only want the filter to apply to a specific part of your video you must cut the video either side of the point you want to use the filter. When you drag a filter down it applies to the whole video so unless you cut the video every filter will apply to the whole length.

That's not entirely true (sorry Brian). If you add keyframes you can choose when to start or end the effect. But with some of the filters you can't go to "0" or "100%" (i.e. at least some of the effect is always applied) so in those cases Brian's suggestion would be the way to go.

Re: Video Filter for specific times in a single video??
Thanks guys. I did some testing and I see where I can some Video Filters can be used in a keyframe such as Duotone where I can retain the original color then fade quickly to the Duotone, then I also see where I can't use keyframes such as Invert. There is no options. Just on or off.
I guess I may need to do a combination of both. I just hate making destructive changes by cutting the video. Where as key frames work awesome.
Thanks for you help.

just to comment on your use of the word 'destructive' - remember that in VideoStudio all edits and cuts are virtual - your original video is never changed in any way by editing - even though you 'cut' your video in a project the original can be used again and again in it's entirety .

That is great to know
Thanks Brian
