Cover Image on Video File

Post by oneview0505 »

Hello,

So I notice in Windows Explorer that some of the videos that I have created show an image of the video. Some show the begining of video which show the title in the cover image of the video. This is when I have explorer set to show medium or large icons. I there are way to setup that up so I can select what would be the image cover of the video file. That would be cool so that I can have the title showing in that image of that video file.

As Always Thanks!

I guess let me explain in another way. Like Youtube or Facebook. I upload a video file, I have an option to choose that image in the file to repesent the cover of that file. In FB it will show 10 sceen captures

In VS3 when you are about to create the video file output in VS3 is there an option to choose image cover. Win7 just shows the file and whatever is being display for that file.

No there's no way in VS to determine what is displayed as the thumbnail As an example in VS's preferences when you have it set to display thumbnail and file name on the video tracks. What you get is the first frame for the thumbnail. What you're wanting to do, is have VS alter the way Windows displays thumbnails. There would have to be a setting in Windows to do that, and I don't think there is.
