Problem with X4 and HD PVR

Post by Isewake »

Anyone use a Hauppauge HD PVR to import videos from a HD DVR? I'm having problems with videos imported from it. I used the Arcsoft media that came with it and it is in a ts format. When I want to do a multitrim edit, I get an error message.

When I try to do a direct import from the HD PVR, I get another error message

How do I correct these error messages? Thanks

Follow the advice of the error message and send the dump file to Corel.

If the only way to send it to Corel is through their support email, this is as far as I got, and the page said done.

Can't do anything else once I get here

What browser are you using? I've had periodic problems with Firefox, however after several attempts managed to get a page to load. Try a different browser, try cleaning things up a little, like your on-line cache, history, and cookies. Then see if you can get the full page. I just tried and was able to get that full page, using FireFox.

Your video is transport stream mpeg-2 (ts = transport stream). Video Studio needs programme stream mpeg-2, so you have to use a program like the freeware HDTVtoMPEG-2 to convert it. I also use Video ReDo, but that costs around US$50...

I also have Videoredo but I'll try the other software too. Thanks for the tip. I would rather work with VS than Videoredo.

I still couldn't get into the website's email help. I cleared out the cache, cookies, etc and used both Firefox and IE. Been like that for over a year.

It seems like now it doesn't read ts files from my Hauppauge TV tuner. I guess I could convert it but X2 can read it but X4 can't. I really don't want to do extra steps if I don't have to.
