Hi BrianCee and Lata.

Sorry for not replying earlier. I had Corel VSP X7 Trial Version. Download from Corel site did not work. Download from a reseller's site worked. But that installed too many extras.

As it was trial version, I could not access DO MORE.

Now I have a paid version, direct from Corel. Does not load. I am following up with COREL.

I will come back when I have made some progress. Thanks. mal1938

The original Trial was the full version, then Corel provided a cut down version, I guess to reduce download times.

I have attached a Cleanup file for X7, try running that to see if it helps. Then try a new installation.

Corel Video Studio fails to install. I assumed that trial version had problems. The paid version, download of 21 November gives same problems as the trial version in my discussion. Interesting enough the trial version from reseller gave no errors. It would be preferable to deal directly with Corel. Regards Mal1938

I deleted the trial version from a reseller in anticipation of new Corel download links. .

Trial version from Corel site did not load. I assumed that the paid version directly from Corel would be problem-free. I downloaded Corel Video Studio X7 Ultimate 7 on 21 Nov. It refuses to load. Says CRC error, (ABORT, RETRY, IGNORE) If I RETRY, the same message box drops down. If I click IGNORE then there is progress for a while and then again drop down box comes down. (ABORT, RETRY, IGNORE)

The page for Technical and Product-related support needs a 9 digit code. I cannot get a number to seek support. The 9 digit number for help comes up only after registration.

I did find to create a support case. But there is no provision to attach a document showing screen shot. The site that created the support case had a warning that if the problem is not related to .......then it will be ignored.

I am waiting to see what happens. I am sure that there will be progress soon somehow.

I also receive CRC error when attempting to load paid versions of Motion Studio 3 and Aftershot. (Trial Version from re-sellers site load problem free).

I formatted the disk. Installed Windows 7 64 again. Activated it. installed more than 161 updates. The disk has Windows 7 64, office 2007, Firefox. This also gave CRC error. I have some

I should have completed the sentence to say that "I have some sorting to do. Corel is easier than other products on the market. It is good for learning, when there are curly technical problems to sort.

I was able to locate the 9 digit support codes for Motion Studio3D, Aftershot Pro 2, and VSPX7. That should help.

Corel has sent me Case Numbers. I will keep you informed. My be it is premature to post screenshots in the forum (on a different site to TEMPLATES), just in case someone has solved the problem with installation already.
