Hi, I have VS6 SE DVD and am looking to convert wmv to mpeg but am told the wmv files are unreadable.
Have Ulead provided a update for VS6 that recognises wmv files or must I upgrade to a more recent edition of VideoStudio?

Well I just carried out a little experiment using a known good .wmv file,
In version 6SE DVD I imported the file and a thumbnail appeared in the library - but whenever I try to play it I get an error message saying the file is unreadable.
In version 7 I again imported the file and a thumbnail appeared in the library - but whenever I try to play it UVS7 closes instantly.
In versions 8 and 9 the file imported and plays perfectly with no problems.
so based on my experience it looks as though you'll have to upgrade - the good news is that as the owner of version 6SE you are entitled to the reduced price 'upgrade' option.
