I think Corel was getting the website ready for the launch, and got a bit ahead of themselves. They have asked me to announce the new VS X4 will be available as from 9 a.m. Eastern (North America) time -- in other words, as of right now, it will still be a few more hours before it is actually available.

Mind you, looking at that link, I see you can actually download the TBYB version already!!

WOW $80 for just the upgrade?
I was saving up for a retractable 50ft air line for the garage ($87) but now I'm torn.
Are there any other little gimmy's other than the major new features :?:
Not that fussed about 3D but the dragging/working over 2 screens is great. :)

I like the stop motion and the time lapse feature! :)

Plus they brought back the burning module inside the program. :)

Just downloading the trial of X4 as I type, having only bought X3 less then a month ago, X4 came out a bit fast for me.

still will have a go at the trial and see what it's like, then if okay and accepts my cameras as input (X3 only allowed my HDC camera for import not my SD camera, then only Vers. 10 did this!!. So maybe??

Also wonder if the DVD factory for X3 works with X4 or is his yet another version where the DVD authoring software comes separate when before it came as a package.

Will know in a short while once downloaded and installed.

Just downloaded and installed the trial version before thinking of buying it just 3 weeks after buying X3!!

First impressions are not good, the movible view screen gets in the way of other on screen controls and is meant to be on a second monitor.

There are less default videos loaded (unless all previous versions) and of course - DVD movie factory looks to be try another buy to install like X3 was but X2 and previous were not - Come on Corel get back to making a complete package please.

Apart from this, the stop motion is in the capture menu, as it should. Can't locate the 2D to 3D section as yet.

Good thing is that unlike X2 and X3, X4 does allow me to capture my Sony VX1000 over firewire and my new Panasonic HDC over USB, thumbs up there Corel.

Now if I could get a good discount for this version having had X3 for just 3 weeks, I think I need it, more so after finding that the DVD authoring software could only be obtained from Australia or New Zealand - WHY?

And a second monitor to move the view screen over to and get back the on screen controls.

If you have had X3 for less than 30 days you may be entitled to a full refund - contact Corel customer services.
