Re: PSP X reactivation problem - SOLVED.....
Thanks to Corel Tech Support in Ontario I have finally solved my problem.
If anyone experiences the same problem – that is, finding no place to insert their serial key during a reinstall of PSPX (downloaded version), after assiduously following Corel’s Knowledgebase instructions: “Answer ID 759645 - Activation and Installation Instructions: Paint Shop Pro X” – here is the solution.
1. Do NOT follow the above Knowledgebase advice, instead…
2. When the misleading Trial version splash screen appears during the course of the program installation and before dismissing the screen (which contains in its lower section the words “Already Purchased” with the “A” Underlined), hold ALT and then the A key (on your keyboard) – and the command prompt providing the insertion facility for your serial number will then launch – insert serial number, and you now have a fully functioning program.
Please note that If instead you obtain a screen stating “Sorry, the serial number you are using has already been submitted the maximum number of times for Activation”, you need to contact Corel and have them re-set the count at their end……
