Emailing from VSP X2

Post by gebeopar »

I was wondering if someone could help out a novice. Emailing videos seems to be an impossible task for me at this point. I'm using a Vista Home Premium machine and my default email is Windows mail. If I understand the User Manual correctly, then apparently the only usable emails are Outlook Express, Netscape Mail or Eudora. Internet Explorer, to my mind, is out of the question. (I use Firefox and I'm thoroughly happy with it.) Let's not even get into Netscape Mail or Eudora.

Do I have an alternative or am I doing something wrong? Will an upgrade to VSP X3 help?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can help!

You haven't told us what the problem is.

What kind of videos are you trying to email?

Email has a size limit. Maybe you are surpassing that.

Are you getting some sort of error message?

Internet Explorer and Firefox have nothing to do with email, so I'm thoroughly confused...

The email function requires an Email Client, which is like MS Outlook, or Mozilla's Thunderbird. It does not work with web-based email, such as Hotmail, and Yahoo. If you're using Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, or whatever, you can still email your video clips. You'll need to work out the video file type and file size. I think it would be much better, and easier to upload your video to YouTube, Vimeo, Veoh, or whatever video hosting service you use, then email a link to it. That way the recipient gets the benefit of seeing a much higher quality video.

Thank you for your response! As it turns out, my email was simply crapping out over the size of the file was trying to send. hen I reduced the size, the file went.
