Lightscribe

Post by Viddynick »

Hi all - second posting tonight! - About Lightscribe. In ProX 3, I see there is an option for utilities, one of which is Lightscribe. I clicked this and it took me to the Lightscribe page etc. I have used Lightscribe once before with a competitor and all went well - I have the enabled DVD writer drive. I thought perhaps, after having selected this utility, when i came to burn my disk in Movie Factory it would integrate with Lightscribe and I could use it from there. The basic label editing came in where I guess you have to buy special paper(?) My question is that if I install the competitor software for Lightscribe, will Corel integrate with it, so I can burn the film and then move on to the label and cover designer? I seem to have so many problems to iron out before proceeding. Thanks to anyone who has the patience to explain. I guess I could just use Lightscribe independently.

Thanks
Viddynick.

Ok, I moved your other post to the Digital Studio Forum, since you were asking about DVD Factory 2010. Are you now using DVD MovieFactory 7SE? Big difference in programs. Please clarify which you're having problems with.

Hi Ron, just replied to my other post and I can confirm at that time was trying to coping with DVD Movie Factory 2010 and not 7SE! What a nightmare. I've never had such problems! Have since fathomed Lightscribe from the utilities link in Pro X 3 and have found the relevant template for burning a Lightscribe enabled disk - I have the drive and have done so before but with Nero Essentials. I have also found a basic cover designer on the Lightscribe site too. A rather fragmented way of dealing but think it will suit my purpose until I progress! I also found the basic cover designer after burning in ProX 3 so guess could use that and merely use the Lightscribe template software for the disk itself - am I supposed to be enjoying this hobby I wonder!!!!!!! Thanks for your help. Viddynick.
