Mpeg,Wmv and DVD question with Gif Animator 5

What type of .mpg file do I need to convert all my non useable wmv,mpg,avi files to so I can use them with Gif Animator 5

GA 5 will open AVI, MPG, MPEG, MP2, MPD, DAT, and a few others. I can't vouch for the Version compatibility, between your files and GA's import.

Doesn’t open WMV files, you will have to use the Host program to convert to one of the above.

Host program?

Yeah I have some mpeg/mpg that don't work and I can't tell what needs to be changed for them to work

Sorry Programming Language, Host means the program that originally created your files.

All that you can do for the moment is try to open each file in GA, if successful you can save them in GA in its native file format.

If not and you have the old Host program that created your files try to save them in a file format that GA will open. Or use the Host program to open your file, select all and copy to the clipboard and then Open GA and do a Paste contents from the clipboard. All of the frames have to be created at the right size and resolution, and all selected for this to work.

Otherwise you are looking for a file converter, or another program that can open your files.
