Re: Align a still image on the overlay track
To align and / or rotate an image, click on the Edit tab;
To place text over an image, simply add your text/title to the title track, immediately below the image. The stacking order in VS is backwards. The Main video track is the lowest layer, all the tracks beneath the Main video track, are above it..

Re: Align a still image on the overlay track
Thank you Ron,
What i meant by aligning was can it be done by degrees. What i have is a still picture that includes a large mirror this picture is on the video track, what I wanted to do was to align the picture on the overlay track by degrees to the shape of the mirror,I have a feeling that this is not possible with Video studio.
Once again thank you for your help.

Re: Align a still image on the overlay track
You're correct, rotation can only be done in 90deg increments. However you can distort an image, by grabbing and dragging the small green handles, which are found just to the inside of the yellow handles on each corner.

Re: Align a still image on the overlay track
\Thank you Ron re the above.
I have a further question that i hope you can answer, I am creating a slide show using ProX 2 many of the slides are in portrait format. What I would like to do is have two slides side by side on the time line and in their original shape. I have done a search but cannot find any body having tried this.
Thank you

Re: Align a still image on the overlay track
You can do this by using the main video track and an overlay track, or 2 overlay tracks. If you place one photo in the main video track, you need to click on the Attribute tab, check the box beside Distort clip, then on the Preview window, drag the image to one side. Now for the photo in the overlay track, you need to resize it, as it comes in at ¼ it's original size. Right-click on it in the preview window and select Original size. Now drag it to the other side of the preview window.
If you want to get a little fancy, use 2 overlay tracks, then have each of them enter from their respective sides. You'll find these on the Attribute panel.
