I am using Video Studio Pro X3 with the Movie Factory 7SE menu editing program. I generally create mpeg files for each main menu item in Video Studio Pro X3. Then I import those video clips into the Movie factory time line. These then each show up as a main menu item. My problem is that I get very long delays (the last frame freezes for 5-50 seconds) before the next clip plays during full (no menu selected) playback. In other words, the transitions between clips is not continuous. I am using no transitions between clips. I generally create an iso file and burn from that using cyberlink DVD Suite Deluxe (Video Factory seems to have burn issues) File specs are Lower frame first, 5000 bits/sec variable, standard resolution, 4:3. Any suggestions welcome

Re: Long playback delays between video clips
There is generally a delay between titles, but no delay between chapters in a title. If you don't want pauses, you need to make one long "clip" and assign chapter-points where you want to "jump-in" from the menu.I generally create mpeg files for each main menu item in Video Studio Pro X3. Then I import those video clips into the Movie factory time line. These then each show up as a main menu item. My problem is that I get very long delays (the last frame freezes for 5-50 seconds) before the next clip plays
A chapter is just a "marker" or "place" in the movie that you can jump-to, or jump-ahead/back to with the >>| and |<< buttons on your remote.
Once you start playing a title, it generally doesn't stop and go back to the menu 'till it plays through all of the remaining chapters to the end of the title. (Professional DVD authoring software that can make a DVD that plays one chapter and then jumps back to the menu.)
Buttons on your menu can point to the 1st chapter (start) of a title, or to any other chapter in the title.
A DVD can have up to 99 titles (movies) and each title can have up to 99 chapters. Most commercial DVDs have one main title (i.e the main move) and sometimes other titles for trailers or other special features on the DVD.

Re: Long playback delays between video clips
Thanks Doug. I just finished two dvd's with over an hour of video, using your suggestions. I rendered a single mpeg file for the complete dvd in Video Studio Pro X3, then went to Movie factory 7 SE to complete the menus, create the iso file, and burn the dvd. It worked flawlessly. Problem solved once I found the control to cancel the main menu. My procedure is now changed. Thanks again.
