Ulead Video Editor Problem

Post by AlexTheGood »

Hello Forum,

I have some problems. I wan't to record my old video-cassettes to my PC. I connected a Video-Player via Scart and USB, with my PC. I start recording and everything is fine, untill the 5th minute, when a pop-up says that there is No Free Space (or something like that), but there is 180GB free space.
I checked the video file that was recorded and for 5minutes the size of it was 4.99GB. Is that normal? Don't know whats wrong and I get this error...

Thanks,

Alex

Welcome to the forums,

4.99gig normal? For uncompressed AVI it would be, which takes up around 65 gig per hour of video. What program are you using to capture? Also USB typically is not recommended for capturing video. It's not that reliable for maintaining the stream. What make/model is your capture device?

Have a look at the Please read this before posting sticky.

Your reference to Scart and USB leads me to suspect that you are using easy-cap (or one of it's many derivatives) between your VHS deck and your computer - could you explain exactly how you are connecting a scart on the player to a USB on your computer.
