Hello All,
While doing batch conversion, I've noticed VideoStudio only uses one CPU Core while converting. Are there any settings to allow the program to utilize more cores?
Thanks,
David

Re: VideoStudio only uses 1 CPU Core
Here is a printscreen of VS only using 17% of the processor. No matter how long it takes to convert a file, it never uses any more than 16-17%. Since it is a 6 core this can be figured by 16.5 X 6 = 99.

Re: VideoStudio only uses 1 CPU Core
Quite some time ago I posted here on a similar topic related to my Quad processor. I had installed an Ashampoo program called Core Tuner, and set it to assign priority to Video Studio. And it worked -- though some other users scoffed at this at the time. But it was very measurable, significant and involved all four cores... See http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 60#p189260

Re: VideoStudio only uses 1 CPU Core
I have found a solution. For Batch conversions it is not necessary to use VideoStudio. The 64 bit version of FFmpeg will convert the movies using up to all 6 cores <adjustable by thread number>.
Would rather use VideoStudio, but since it is only 32bit, it won't be possible with the way it is written now, to use more than 17% of a six core AMD processor.
Cheers,
David
