When I click on Layers, Load/Save Mask, I get the menu/box where I am suppose to be able to access all of my masks. I have my File Locations set to where my masks are stored: My PSP Files/Masks and CorelPaintShopPro/X3/PSPClassic/Corel_07. There is only ONE choice available for a mask and the "Drop Down Arrow" is grayed and nothing happens when clicked upon, in other words no drop down appears to choose any of the other masks that should be able to be accessed. In the File Locations I have the Folder Options and Use Sub Folders both checked.
When clicking upon Load/Save Mask from Disk, it stops to load the new items, but nothing is added to the availability option in the Mask box that appears in the left of the box. After trying to click on it multiple times, I get a brief dialog box saying that it isn't responding then a fast flash of a pane of multiple masks that then disappears going back to the Load Mask from Disk screen.
I have tried clicking on every option available within the screen and nothing will make it work to where all of the masks may be viewed/accessed.
I did not have this problem with v X2 or X1 or 9. I have rebooted multiple times after deleting the path to the masks and reassigning the path and access is still not possible.
The one-and-only visible mask when clicked up does work as a mask layer.
I have the latest updates installed for PSP X3: Version: 13.2.1.20
Before writing, I also tried File/Preferences/Reset Preferences/Reset the Application/Delete all cache files and clicked OK. That did not help either.
Thank you for any insight into what may be the problem.
Cathy

Re: Unable to Access Masks
Hello akatkando,
You may want to reset your workspace. You can do that by pressing and holding down the SHIFT key then double-click on the PSP icon then when you received the message "DO YOU WAN TO RESTORE PAINTSHOP Pro TO ITS DEFAULT STATE?" just click OK.

Re: Unable to Access Masks
Thank you for your reply.
I have tried two different ways to accomplish this task:
1. I clicked on Start, went to the PSPP Icon, held down the Shift Key and clicked upon the icon twice. All that happened was the program started as it always does and gave me no splash screen like you showed in your message.
2. With the program already open, I held down the shift key and placed the cursor on the PSPP Logo in the upper-left-hand corner of the open progam, clicked twice while holding down the shift key and all that happened is the program closed.
When I do access the masks as explained in my previous message, if I am VERY quick, when I see the split-second flash of a screen, if I catch it to click upon the side of the image, it will remain open, but I cannot release the mouse button, for if I do it will immediately close. I am able to access the masks when I am quick enough to access the flashing screen, but only while holding down the mouse button and scrolling with the scroll wheel.
I know from working with previous versions of PSP and PSPP that is not the normal way of accessing the masks. One should be able to scroll the open screen without having to constantly engage the mouse button.
Do you have any other suggestions to accomplish the task that you suggested?

Re: Unable to Access Masks
akatkando, Abiel's instructions are for the the shortcut on your desktop if you have one. The start menu won't let you do it that way. If you don't have a shortcut icon on your desktop you should click Start, right click on PSP, click Open Location (you may need to click properties first). The folder that opens will have the program selected if you don't click anything, it will be highlighted. Now hold shift and double click it and you should get the splash screen as described above.
