Hi I hope someone can help me. I have just installed the updates 1 & 2 because I am now running sindows 7. Since I have done this I cannot get symbols such as ®
© and others to work. I need to place a copyright symbol in something i am producing. It would be great if I could cut and paste from a word document but I can't do that either. Does anyone have any idea's
Thanks

Re: Video Studio x2 alt keys for symbols
Welcome to the forums,
I think about the only way this can be done in Vista and possibly also in Win7, is to bring up the Character Map. In VIsta this is found by going to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Character Map. Then locate the symbol, press the Select and then the Copy buttons. In VS X3, with the Title function selected, double-click on the preview window as if you're going to type in your text, then use the windows keyboard combination for Paste, Control key + V.
Now to have these at your disposal and not have to re-open Character Map, create a new Title folder in the Library. This is done the same way, using the Library Manager, as you would for video, images and audio. You could name it Symbols. Once that is done, drag the symbol text into the library.

Re: Video Studio x2 alt keys for symbols
Thanks for the suggestions Ron
I tried them and they didn't work so I am not sure what's going on there. As i said before I downloaded the VS x2 updates for win7 I was able to use Symbols by using the alt keys in the title screen. There is probably something simple to fix this and I will find it eventially
