Write movie to File instead of Disk

Post by PatBarr »

With prior versions of VideoStudeo I could create a movie and write it to a folder instead of a desk. I used this to preview movies before burning them. I can't figure out how to do this in X3. Neither DVD Factory nor Burn have this option.
Thanks, Pat

Are we talking the full and complete version of VideoStudio Pro X3 being used in the full Video Editing mode ?

If yes are you saying that when you have finished editing - and with your project in the timeline - you cannot go "Share >> Create Video File" and render out a video file in any one of a large variety of formats ?

Brian -- I think he is talking about a DVD Folder in one of the burning modules...

Are you saying that when you go to Share>Create Disc you don't eventually come to the following?:

Or does it look like this?

If so you must click on the double arrow button to open.

Ken has it right. I want to create a DVD folder that I can play from DVD software, like PowerDVD, and it will look just like the finished DVD with menus and everything.
Thanks, Pat

Hello PatBarr,

if you have VS X3 and installed DVD Movie Factory 7 Se, you can also select the option CREATE DVD FOLDER, in order to save the files on your computer and not on a DVD.

Here's a screen shot of that option on DVD Movie Factory 7 Se.

Thanks. That's just what I wanted. I guess I missed the "down arrow" to open up the other options.
Thanks, Pat
