PhotoImpact X3 - Windows 7 64-bit

Well have completed win 10 & have opened & used both PI 12 & X3, they load, open files & changed etc. & saved successfully, so hopefully all is well, haven't checked the corel add ons for X3. It's very different, will take some getting used to... basically finding things<BG> but now i'm off to bed. Cheers & thanks, have a Great week.... mj

sorry Ken, i didn't see your message, i think the easy settings is either a win 7 or samsung app, it does have the Microsoft shield on the shortcut, it switches wireless network on/off, boot management, power management, wired network, display etc. it's gone now so i can't tell you much else about it . i do have screen shot that i sent to my nephew who knows more about wifi, because although i'd clicked remember settings on start up, it didn't<BG> cheers mj

Just writing to say that PI X3 works fine for me on Windows 7 64 bit, but sorry, I can't help the original poster.

I just want to let people here know that in my experience PhotoImpact even the older PhotoImpact 12 runs fine on Windows 7 64bit, as well as on Windows 10. I have been intensively using it on Windows 7 from 2010 to 2016, and for about one year now I'm using it without any troubles on Windows 10 64 bit. I now additionally installed PhotoImpact X3 on Win 10 64 bit, no problems again.

Just to add my own recent experience (I posted this elsewhere):

Just a bit of advice based on my own experience.

I'm on the Windows Insider program. PhotoImpact X3 worked fine on Windows 10 until a month or so ago, then after each Insider build update it wouldn't. I rolled back each time and it was fine again, but I was missing build after build of Windows. I contacted Corel and they told me the same - PI isn't supported on W10 anymore.

At some point, the changes on the Insider builds WILL make it through to W10 in the wild, so PI is almost certainly going to stop working as a standard installation.

I used PI from at least 2001, and upgraded successively. It was like saying goodbye to an old friend, X3 first ran under Vista. If I rememember (I might be wrong), I think the (or "a") version before that which ran on XP wouldn't run on Vista, hence the upgrade for me at the time.

Be careful if you rely on PI. It looks like it WILL stop working under W10 completely at some stage soon.
