How to preserve "Date Take" on image?

Post by dulis »

Hello all,

I am new to Corel paintshop pro X2. I open couple images and resize them. After resize I
want to close the image and save it. But unfortunately the info about "Date taken" on image disappears and I have to enter it manually.

How to keep "Date Taken" Info while saving resized image? I hope you understood my issue and thank you in advance for any responses.

I assume you are referring to the Exif information.
That is retained in X2, but not all of the Creator Information is retained.

You say 'on' the image, does this mean it is a date stamp of some kind?
I don't use that, so wouldn't know.

If you are re-saving using the JPEG Optimizer, make sure you tick the box 'Save Exif data'.

Hello dulis,

If you are referring to the stip stamp that is on the image itself, this may have been placed by your camera and not by the software, then when you "resize" the image you may have used the CROP tool or remove the section where the time stamp it located, so you no longer see it when you saved the image.
