Files opening 100% size in MAXIMIZED windows...

Post by thumper300zx »

In PAINT SHOP PRO X (the last version I bought), I could open a bunch of files and they would automatically open in 'non-maximized' windows and cascade (or each image just shifted over a bit to the right) at a smaller size than 100% (not in maximized windows).

With PSP X3 installed (different machine, Windows 7), I open files and they all open in MAXIMIZED windows. Is there anyway to change that so they cascade at a smaller size UPON OPENING (not by me having to select WINDOW CASCADE)?

If I open PSP, and cascade, then when I open more files it will do it how I want -- but when I open it, they are all maximized windows, so I can't immediately click on one of the other file windows to bring it up. I prefer cascade to 'tabs'.

Hello thumper300zx,

If you want a cascade windows, you can click on the Windows menu then select CASCADE or just remove the check mark on the TABBED DOCUMENTS.

Here's a screen shot of the options.

I want it to show up CASCADE when I open filed (when PSP starts). Right now it's maximizing all windows.

Ignore me. I'm putting my foot in my mouth again.

I wanted to attribute this to the auto-size bug but that's only with tabbed documents I think. I could be wrong about that.

You could create a script that opens the Open Document dialog and then activates the cascade option. The setup is a bit odd but once done it's easy to use.
