I'm trying to capture an old home movie from a vhs tape going through a box ... When I do, I get an error msg, unable to capture copywrite protected.
Anyone have this problem before or have any idea what could cause it or how to correct it?
Thanks in advance.

The "box" is detecting Macrovision. Here are a few possibilities:
1- This is not a "home video". It is a commercial video with Macrovision protection. In this case, you need a Macrovision remover such as The Clarifier
2- There is something wrong with the VCR, and it's wrongly generating a Macrovision signal, or a macrovision-like signal. Try a different VCR.
3- The tape is poor quality, and the noise is getting interpreted as Macrovision. Again, a macrovision romover box, or a video stabilizer might help.
4- There is something wrong with the box, and it think's it's detecting Macrovision.
