Football Game Film...

Post by newt_nc »

I bought this program for football game film. How can I get it to where I can just hit next scene and it will automatically skip to the next play (or back for the previous play)? Is there any way to do this for the entire film between every clip with a few clicks?

Also, I am putting multiple games per disc (saves money), how can I have multiple chapters where at the title screen (disc start up) I can pick a different game to start with? These are probably really stupid questions, but I'm not very good with computers. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can do that. You can use Movie Factory (which comes with Video Studio X3) to "author" a DVD.

A DVD can consist of up to 99 "titles" (movies) and each title can can contain up to 99 "chapters". A typical commercial DVD might have only have one title, or it might have one title for the main movie and another title for a "behind the scenes" special feature, etc. You will probably want one title for each game.

A chapter is really just a marker somewhere in the title/move. There is usually a pause between titles, but no pause between chapters. The >>| and |<< buttons on your remote will skip back & forth between chapters. (These buttons won't skip between titles, but if you put a chapter marker at the very end of a title, you can skip to the end and potentially jump to the next title if your DVD is authored/structured to play the titles in sequence.)

The "buttons" on your menu can link to any chapter in any title or to another menu, which can be a sub-menu or a "next" menu, etc. (You can have chapters with no associated menu button., and the >>| and |<< buttons will find them.)
Also, I am putting multiple games per disc (saves money)...
As a general guideline to preserve video quality, try not to put squeeze than 90 minutes on a single-layer DVD.
