Video Studio 10+ 121A2-8A000-00021205
PLEASE help!!
I purchased VS10+ many years back and with it came the Content Pack and Bonus Pack etc. I downloaded it as an upgrade to VS8.
However, since rebuilding my pc I needed to reinstall VS8 and VS10+.
Unfortunately my Video Studio 10 Content Pack\vs10_contentpack_e.exe has become corrupted.
I have written to Coral who simply inform me that VS10+ has been upgraded and they cannot help me. What I cannot understand is why am I now forced to purchase VS3X for example when I have a perfectly good working VS10 that just happens to have a corrupt file within the Content Pack.
I cannot believe that Coral were unable to give me a link from which I could download the Content Pack to my VS10+ which has been bought and paid for previously.
Does anyone know where I can download the Content Pack from so that I am able to re-install my product fully?
Thankyou so much for your help.
I am using Windows XP Home.

I'm not sure if the content is available anywhere, I suspect not.
I'm afraid this bit is going to sound harsh -
After purchasing your product it is up to you to ensure you keep it safely, ensure you have a back up copy if you need to reinstall it. This means downloading the files to your hard drive and copying to a cd/another hard drive if neccessary.
If you purchased a music cd and played it for a couple of years, then put it away, came back to it later and found it was scratched and couldn't be played, would you expect to be able to write to the producers of the cd and have them replace it?
I think you'll most likley have to put it down to a learning experience, NEVER download and install a product direct from the web. ALWAYS save to your hard disc, install and make a back up copy.
Sorry.

Hi Graham,
Thankyou for your reply. I do understand your words, but I did back it up.
My backup DVD was nicely secured in its own cover and placed within my DVD cupboard. There is remained without hardly being touched.
My DVD has a corrupt file within the Content Pack. VS10+ installs perfectly as does the entire Bonus Pack, but unfortunately the Content Pack has just one corrupt file in it.
The question is how many back-ups should one have to do? Today though, I have purchased two external hard drives and backup twice.
I know that Coral must have a link for me somewhere, but possibly the trait today is to get people to re-purchase new products? I cannot afford to do this so will simply scrap VS10+ and go back to using VS8 which is still perfectly okay.

Hi
Have you tried copying the disc to your hard drive, then running the exe file.
I assume the disc contains one Exe file.

How many back up's is a question asked in business every day, and as you have found out, one may not be enough! As it worked correctly to begin with though, Corel did supply you with a working product, it is either the way the dvd burned, a faulty disc, a scratch on it or the dvd has deteriorated very quickly that has caused your back up to fail, none of which is Corel's fault.
I do agree though, that a certain amount of good customer service would be nice. To have an archive of products accesible to people with serial numbers, but then how far back do you go, you are reverting to VS8 which is several years old, we still ahve people posting with products like VS6!!!!
Let's hope someone else sees teh post and may be able to help you out.

Trevor, yes I have tried copying to my hard drive and re-installing, but it stops at the same point telling me that I have a corrupt .exe file. It is so frustrating.
Graham, I am truly hoping that somebody can indeed help me. I remember quite a number of years back I had a similar problem with the same Content Pack and at the time Coral sent me a link where I actually re-downloaded (and subsequently copied to my DVD), but I no longer have that particular e-mail. Since rebuilding my pc I now transfer and back up all e-mails. Unfortunately back then I never realised that I could do such a thing!

Can I clarify what you are calling the 'Content' pack - I still have my complete set of discs for VS10+ and I have a Programme disc and a Bonus CD - are you saying you cannot load the VideoStudio programme ? - in which case perhaps it's time for an upgrade. Or are you saying you cannot load the bonus CD ? - which is not essential anyrate - in fact I do not remember ever loading the bonus pack on my PC, -or is the content pack part of a separate download perhaps - Ulead used to make additional menu templates etc available, but again they are not essential - if there is one particular part of the bonus CD you need or an additional menu template for VS10 there may be a way to help you.

Carole,
I've uploaded the VS10 Content Folder to my Humyo account. It's zipped up, so once you download it, unzip it, then run the Setup file that's in the folder. Right-click on the UVS10 Content, and select Download this file. It's 121MBs.

This is off of the Main Program CD. I think that with the ESD (download) the content was a separate file to download. Hope this will work.

Hi Brian
I think and I may be corrected but if you use the download option you receive three files
1 / The VS10 Program (only minimum library content)
2 / The Content Pack which completes the installation by filling the library and maybe SmartSound ????
3 / The Bonus pack containing additional samples, DVD player and C3D
The three options reduces the file sizes and therefor the download time.
The Disc purchase option provides two discs.
The full program
The Bonus CD

RON:
I have only just come to the Forum (I thought I would be informed by e-mail if and when somebody replies to me). I am so sorry - you must think me so rude for not acknowledging your letter.
I went through to your zip file and it seems just what I want. It is the Content Pack. I have clicked on your icon and also on the next page 'content pack' etc. but it is telling me I must sign up which I have just done. I tried 7 times all different ways to download.
I have tried again to click on 'download file' but it will not allow me (even with my own e-mail and password) - so I think it may need your permission to share the file with me.
How can we do this? Are you able to give permission through the website for me to download? I have noted though that Humyo have linked with Trend, and Humyo are not taking on any more customers. I have registered with Trend - but your Humyo account does not 'see' my new account with Trend.
Thankyou so much for your help here.

Well that sucks. I'll have to do some further reading on their site. I followed the instructions to share files...
