I did this, about 23 hours ago. We'll see where this goes, once people get cranked-up for the week.Lucas wrote:Would you be able to send a brief explanation of the error you received to support@corelyourway.com
Thanks, both of you, for your help.

Re: Corel Your Way
I received an e-mail a few minutes ago, saying that this has been fixed. It has. Thanks for your assistance.

Re: Corel Your Way
I joined Corel your way after receiving an invitation - I have just now received an e-mail asking me to participate in a survey about VS X4 with the chance of winning a $100 Amazon voucher - what is the use of such a voucher to anyone outside the US and Canada - Surely Corel is a worldwide company so why don't the rest of the world have a chance of winning something which they can use. looks to me as though Corel is only interested in the opinion of North Americans.

Re: Corel Your Way
Hi BrainCee,
I would like to invite you to review the contest rules for the VS X4 survey.
I apologize for the misunderstanding that we may have caused by using an Amazon.com $100GC image, but I can assure you that if the prize is awarded to a UK customer it will be valid at Amazon.co.uk
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me.
Thanks,
Lucas
I would like to invite you to review the contest rules for the VS X4 survey.
You are 100% right, in that we are a Global company. We do value the opinions of UK customers, equally to the opinions of our NA customers. If you follow this entire thread, you will see that we have recently expanded Corel Your Way to allow customers from outside of Canada and USA to participate in surveys AND receive prizes.Rule 2.
ELIGIBILITY: ELIGIBILITY: THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, THE UNITED KINGDOM, GERMANY, POLAND, RUSSIA, INDIA, BRAZIL, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, JAPAN, HONG KONG, INDONESIA, PHILIPPINES, MEXICO, TAIWAN, TURKEY AND CHINA ONLY.
You must be over the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which you reside to enter. Employees, representatives and agents of Corel Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Corel”) and their immediate families (and those living in the same household) are ineligible to participate. The Contest is subject to all federal, local, state and governmental laws, rules and regulations. The Contest is void in the province of Quebec and the State of Rhode Island and where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. The decisions of Corel in relation to any matter relating to the Contest will be final and binding on all entrants.
I apologize for the misunderstanding that we may have caused by using an Amazon.com $100GC image, but I can assure you that if the prize is awarded to a UK customer it will be valid at Amazon.co.uk
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me.
Thanks,
Lucas

Re: Corel Your Way
it was not just the image which indicated that the voucher was not available to everyone - what about the heading of the e-mail which says :-
Share it with us and you could win a $100 Amazon gift card!
and in the middle :-
The survey should take less than 5 minutes of your time to complete. As a thank you for your time, once completed, you will automatically be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card!

Re: Corel Your Way
So....what should they put there then? Should they not be using a monetary prize? Should they list every money type? Or should they only show that it's going to be an Amazon gift card with an equivalent amount to $100?
Clearly they have given an unintended appearance (technically the same could be said if they used any other currency symbol, heck even 100 isn't transferred properly between money types) but that could be because they didn't think it a possible problem. Do you have a good suggestion that they haven't considered?
I know it's their job to anticipate and deal with these possibilities, and it's good that we make these potential problems known, but it's a lot more helpful if we at least offer suggestions. Whether or not they like them or take them from there is their problem. XD

@BrianCee, We are listening if you have any suggestions on how to improve the messaging of our survey invitations.

Re: Corel Your Way
Simply adding the words - or your local equivalent - after the voucher value would indicate that the prize is available in all countries.
