Welcome to the forums! And I'm awfully glad you asked that question before you actually bought a product! The short answer is: don't even think about Digital Suite 2010, even as a joke. However, it *is* a joke, slow, erratic and invasive.

One minor problem is that X3, which is an infinitely better program, has parts of the Suite in it. One of them is the Easy Edit module, and that is to be avoided for the same reason. But at least you have the full editor available, which is much better and more flexible. Corel in their wisdom also included DVD Factory "Pro" 2010 from the suite as the sole burning module for X3. But in the storm of laughter and tears this provoked in users, they have now made a much better program -- Movie Factory 7 SE -- available as the burning module for registered users of X3.

I trust that answers your question. But just to be sure: AVOID THE SUITE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Hello taperguy,

Just like what ken said, I will also suggest that you use VideoStudio pro X3 instead of the Express 2010. If you want try the program you can download the trial at http://www.corel.com/trials.

Avoid Digital Studio 2010 like the plague. Everything Ken said, and then add that it doesn't do half the stuff VSx3 will do. I couldn't even find a way to change the aspect ratio of a photo being inserted into a video in DSS2010. The program cropped it how it felt it should look.

Someone on another post just mentioned that VSX3 can be bought for as low as $29. Snap that up while you can!
