"Unspecified error" burning DVD

Post by Agent86 »

Ok, I have struggled with VS Pro X3's DVD MovieFactory SE ever since upgrading from X2.
I have had issues with overlapping elements causing the error when burning - fixed them.
I have had issues with turning off motion menu - reluctantly turned back on.

Now I have a project in which neither of these "fixes" work. I have searched this board for other soltuions but have found none. Is there a patch for MF SE? When I try to install the MF patch I get a message that it can only be installed one a licensed version, or something like that. What gives? Obviously there needs to be a method to create DVD's for VS that is relaiable and that does not limit me to the simplest of text menus.

Is there a patch for the version included with VS Pro X3?

Any ideas what else I can try to work around this unspecified error?

If I missed a discussion of this topic, please point me in the right direction. I search "unspecified error" since it seems to be the most specific to my situation.

Yes, use X2! When you finish your editing in X3 you make a DVD-compliant MPEG-2 file. You then open X2 and go to Share>Create Disc and import that MPEG-2 file into the burning timeline for authoring/burning.

Will X2 and X3 co-exist on the same machine?

Does anyone know if Corel has plans to address this deficiency?

Yes no problem at all - I along with several of the other moderators have the last 3 or 4 versions still working on our PCs.

I am afraid no one on here has any idea if or when Corel are going to do anything about anything - we're all just users like you - we have just been using a bit longer.
