When I create a new Project I can't browse for new music. I press the Browse key and "Desktop" and "My Computer" come up but when I click on "My Computer" nothing happens.
Browsing works fine when I'm not in Project.
Thanks, Pat

First - not sure I understand what you mean by "Easy edit sound track" - thats not a phrase I recognise or associate with VideoStudio, could you explain that.
What version of VideoStudio are you using ? - could you also update your profile with your computer specification please - at least with your current operating system - but the more information you give the easier it will be to help you.
Because you haven't said I assume you are using the 'Browse' button in the Music Library is that correct or do you mean some other Browse button.
You say browsing does not work in 'Project' - but what about in 'Clip' - does it work there ?
Have you tried Right clicking on the timeline and choosing 'Insert Video' - does that allow you to find your music?

Re: Easy Edit Sound Track - Can't Browse for more music
I'm using VideoStudeo Pro X3. I'm using the Easy Edit (VidoStudeo Express 2010). I'm created a Project and am on the screen where I can view the movie or add additional media. At the bottom are the options Media, Styles, Titles, Soundtrack, and Voice-over. Everything works fine except SoundTrack when I want to add more sounds and click on Browse My Music. Then the Disktop/My Computer VideoStudeo Express "browser" appears where you can select folders and music. When I click on My Computer nothing happens.
Yes, the Music Library works fine with I click on Folders and select from that option although it takes about 45 seconds for My Computer to open up and show the folders. (if anyone knows how to limit what the folders this is searching let me know. Current it's searching all of my hard drives and I only have media on one in specific folders.)
I've updated my profile as you recommended.
Thanks, Pat

Are you single or double-clicking on your My Computer? You need to either double-click on it to expand it or click on the triangle to it's left. Once you locate a folder that contains audio files, you will see them in the right pane.

I've done it both ways. I do it the same when I "Import" "My Computer" media from the main screen.
Thanks, Pat

Re: Easy Edit Sound Track - Can't Browse for more music
Frustrated!!! I found out I can't browse from any of the Corel applications: Easy Edit, DVD MovieFactory, and DVD Factory. For example I click on add more media or add music then the black screen appears with "Desktop" and under it "My Computer". When I click on My Computer nothing happens...even after a long long time.
Corel Tech Support had me completely uninstall VideoStudeo with their uninstall utility. This included cleaning the registry. I reinstalled with the same results.
Any ideas?

Re: Easy Edit Sound Track - Can't Browse for more music
I don't have any further ideas, except don't use the "Digital Studio" programs (Easy Edit=VS 2010 Express), DVD Factory 2010, they are not worth the frustration they cause. If you have VS X3, use it to edit your video, and use DVD MovieFactory 7SE to author your DVDs.

Re: Easy Edit Sound Track - Can't Browse for more music
I've come to the same conclusion Ron. After spending 20 hours studing, going through the manuals, and playing with Easy Edit and Burn they would be good for a newbie, if they worked, but for an experienced person they are worthless.
Thanks for your help and I'm back to VideoStudeo advanced editing...
