Re: Combine multiple photos..
Each image that you drag and drop into PSP should show up as their own image. Try dropping 2 or 3 images into PSP, then click Windows menu at the top. You should see a list of the images dropped onto the program at the bottom of the Window list. If that's not happening let us know.

Re: Combine multiple photos..
First, Df is correct about what you're seeing. Well most likely correct until you report back I can't guarantee it, but I'm pretty confident that all you're seeing is it's opening up the image as its own image rather than as a layer.
The problem, however, is that the photos aren't opening as new layers anymore. And you do claim you used to, a functionality I haven't actually seen in a while.
Now I know that back in version 9 I know you were able to drag from the browser (what we now call the organizer) into the layers palette and have it open as a new layer on top of the currently selected layer. But I never did that so I don't know when or if it ever stopped working like that. Definitely don't remember much about version X1. Looking at the user guide I can't find any reference to this option at all.
Is there a setting in the program preferences for you?
Again I don't know when they stopped allowing this, but I do know that I was not able to do it in X2 or now in X3. So I modified one of the default scripts to create a new open option called Open As Layer. This doesn't offer drag and drop functionality but it will use the Open File dialog to select as many files as you want and copy them into new layers on the active image. A little slowly but it does work. But that script was the only way I could figure out how to do this because a friend of mine, preferring Paint Shop Pro over the GIMP but still loving this feature, wanted it.

Hello steve sharpe,
If you are using Windows Vista and using PSP X1, you may want to download and install the vista patch first, since PSP X1 is not compatible with Vista and the patch will resolve this incompatibility issue. You can visit http://www.corel.com/vista for more information and http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 1405201277, for the patch.
