How to add more than one clip/media to the library

Post by psychedalien »

Hi,

Yes I know I am a newbie:)

I know how to add a clip to the library. But when I select more than one clip/media, than the system asks me to change the frames order.
How can I add several clips/media at once to my library?

You select multiple clips with the usual Windows command - Shift + click on the first and Shift+click on the last and everything in between is selected. Drag this to the timeline. This is when you get the message?

Thanks for the quick reply.

No, I get the warning when I add it to my Corel Library, not when I drag them to the timeline!
I realise now: I do not really need the library, right?:)

What exactly does the message say? I confess I do not understand your original description...

Sometimes there is some difference in the way VS and Windows Explorer lists your files.
Basically VS switches the first and last clips, it has always done so since VS 10, i think VS 9 was the last version to insert correctly.

Notice the difference in order between the two windows.
By selecting the “Clip file Name” in the small window will re-order the list.

I always select this to make sure my clips are inserted in order.

Otherwise Drag and drop clips direct from Windows Explorer.

And no, you don't need to use a library. You can insert clips straight to the timeline.
