Newbie-Error Message...

Post by LIUNANANCY »

I am using PSP X2 at work. I am trying to open a 'Gradient' from the files, and also tried to make my own - and save. When I try to open any file I get the error message: "The specified file cannot be identified as a supported type." I can see if I saved something wrong....but, the ones that came with the program cannot be opened.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Hello. :D

The reason you're getting that error is because the gradients were never meant to be opened as individual files by the editor itself. You can only use gradients in the materials palette and the gradient editor.

You can then apply the gradient to anything using one of the tools that uses the colors in the materials palette. But otherwise it's only use, and editing, can be found in the materials palette and gradient editor.

Hope this helps.
