no audio when playing project but clip

Post by kommong2 »

I have few avi video clips which I believe I imported from camcorder using windows moviemaker. When I play those clips in any media player they play fine.

I have latest Corel Video Studio Pro X3. When I import this videos into timeline and play clips sound plays fine but when I play the project there is no audio. Even if I render it there is no sound. I am not sure whats going on. Is there any way to fix it?

Thanks

Right click one of the clips and post the properties.

I was hoping somebody has a solution. I even tried splitting audio but Project never plays it back.

There is no obvious reason why this is happening. Your DV format is absolutely stock standard in its properties, including the audio properties, and DV moreover is usually the easiest and safest format to use. When you render, what format do you render it to? Have you tried rendering the DV in Windows Movie Maker -- it was originally designed to handle only DV and .wmv. But if it too gives no audio, then something strange is going on with your computer set-up...

Thanks guys, I was going crazy but it was my mistake. Backup copy of AVI file I was using was not fully copied which I just realized after comparing file size with the original one. Once I used complete AVI file it was all fine. Thanks for your replies.
