Image sequence

Post by Arnie D »

Hi.

I am new to this board. Nice to be here.

I am thinking of purchasing VideoStudio pro X3, but I can't seem to find out from the website if it will do exactly what I need.

I want to use an image sequence of an animation created in Lightwave 3D, bring it into VideoStudio and then create a BluRay disc with it on. I am hoping to do this in one go rather than convert it to a movie file first.

Does anyone know if this would be possible?
Thanks in advance.

Hi

and welcome to the forums.

Yes I think that would be possible. I assume your image sequence is many still images.
These can be inserted into the timeline, edited, then create a bluray file/disc.
The timing of the images may need some attention.

Best to download the trial version of X3 to give it a go…………

Hello Arnie,

You may want to check this video tutorial http://bit.ly/g8h4Jr on how to create your stop motion animation. You can go to http://www.corel.com/trials, to download the trial version.

Thanks Trevor and Abiel.

I will indeed try this out on the trial version.

I remember that I did do this once in MediaStudio pro 8 and the image sequence had to be converted to a UIS (Ulead Image Sequence file) first but I could not see any referance to UIS in the specs for VideoStudio.
Anyhow thanks again.

Here's the tutorial you might have been thinking about. It is written about MSP, however I think you should be able to do the same with VSX3. It does accept and allow you to create Ulead Image Sequence files.

I just done this in VS X3, where I grabbed several images, and created a UIS from them. Drop you images into the video track, go to Share>Create Video File>Custom. Then select Ulead Image Sequence (uis) for the file type. VS will create a UIS file and all the images for it. For me from about 30 images, the UIS translated into over 900 images.
