Constant crashing creating AVCHD files - help!

I'm using VideoStudio X3 and installed SP2, but creating AVCHD files constantly crashes machine.

Using AVCHD videos and overlaying text, then ouputting using preset AVCHD > PAL HD 1440

99% of time just crashes, which makes program unusable!! Please help with ideas!!

Other users with i7 CPUs have found that disabling hyperthreading in the computer BIOS before editing corrects such problems. It is a bit of a hassle since you then have to reboot and re-enable hyperthreading for other applications after each video editing session, but it appears to work.

Is there a patch coming for this, as its not a very convenient fix?!

Nobody on these forums has any idea at all about what patches Corel may issue - we all just have to wait and see what happens

Mine crashes when creating an AVCHD video from my AVCHD source files. It creates broken video when creating MPEG2 files.

I have gotten ZERO video out of X3.

You haven't told us anything about your system -- that is what have the Profile for when you register. So do you have an i7 computer and if so, have you tried the workaround suggested above?
